hello all.I was wondering if any one has gotten this card to work.X-FI Xtreme Audio PCIE>.
I tried this thread here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1404648 but I have had no luck.I wondering if I'm wasting my time..I'm attaching my alsa-info.txt If someone could take a look that would be great because I have no clue what half of it means lol.Edit: seems the attachment does not work oh well.any help that can be given will be great thanks.

OK, you called the problem, audio doesn't work
Q? doesn't work how, what have you attempted, what status/results did you get..
Are you running any conflicting software, such as firestarter (it conflicts with pulseaudo)

You may have to install inxi utility..
In a terminal, check
- inxi -F
--OS detected devices
inxi -A
--OS detected audio devices
lspci |grep audio
--another way of looking for audio device
dmesg
--just not any errors pertaining to audio

the other thing i did was run this code and rebooted
no effect.i really have not tried to much because I don't have a clue at this point.

Try disabling the onboard sound in the BIOS, (card-1) save and reboot . . .

On board audio is already disabled.i can only hope it's going to be that easy.I been looking around and see a lot of posts.I have only see one that says he has intermittent sound but that is an old thread.
