Sound Blaster 16 support
I have a really old computer with a pci (I think) Sound Blaster Live! 16 bit or 24 bit (Dont know which) and sound does not work through it or the chipset. Are there any extra drivers I need? Im running Mint 8 with the XFCE desktop environment.

open terminal and paste in
gksudo gedit /etc/modules
add
lp
above
snd-sbawe
save then reboot

The cpu's sound works but likes to crap out on me and output nothing or white noise. My sound blaster card still does not work.
