I have successfully synced my Palm m130 on Mint 3.0 (livecd) with both gnome-pilot and jpilot by typing the following in a terminal:

Then I use the port settings /dev/ttyUSB0 for hot syncing. This is my first post and I'd just like to say that I'm really enjoying Mint!
Code: Select all
sudo modprobe visor

Hot syncing Palm PDAs with Linux Mint 3.0 install
Thanks for the kind welcome! Well, I've finally gone and installed my first Linux distro! It was a close choice between Elive and Mint... Open up the terminal and type:
And add the following line to the bottom of the list:
I have found that my PDA has syncing problems with many distros, but I believe this fixes most of the recent Debian type distros. Incidentally, the Palm syncs with no problems using Debian 4.0 or Elive.
