I am using Mint LXDE on an old Latitude C610. When I use Skype I can hear the other person, but that person can't hear me.
How can I first check if my microphone is working on that computer? Any program that needs the microphone, such as a sound recorder? Or something like a system check?
Thanks for your help

Re: Sound problem under LXDE with Dell Latitude C610
Now I have downloaded Audacity and seen that the volume level for microphone was 0. Changed that and it works now in Audacity and Skype.
But I still have not found any other way to change the microphone volume in LXDE.
