Ubuntu 10.10 will lose support for i386-i586, will Mint follow in suite?
I came across this article Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Won't Run On Processors Below i686 via LXer. It explained that Ubuntu will no longer support anything below the i686 architecture, I was wondering will Linux Mint do the same?

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 will lose support for i386-i586?
I hope so. PC's are dirt cheap right now. You can get a good low end computer for ~$200.
If you really have to keep a "boat anchor" around, there are distros like puppy, slax, and dsl that can run on the i386s.
I imagine "raw" Debian (Lenny) will keep i386, though I haven't checked in a while.
