Questions about hardware,drivers and peripherals

I have used Ubuntu and Suse a few times, but am definitely a newb. I'm downloading Isadora right now with hopes of getting rid of the pesky windows os that came with my Lenovo computer. I was just wondering if anyone could lead the way to a site to get all the drivers I will need to get my machine up to speed. Many thanks

You shouldn't need to download any drivers from the web. In Linux 99% of the drivers are built into the kernel(core of the OS). Things generally work out of the box. The main exceptions are wireless drivers and proprietary video drivers. But you still do not have to hunt them down on the web most of the time. After Mint installs it will tell you that there are proprietary drivers available if your system needs them and it will offer to download and install them for you.
