Hi guys,
I have a 4 gb toshiba USB thumb drive that is no longer recognized in Mint 8 or Mint 9 or Windows XP. Is it toast? Is there another way to trouble shoot it?
On Mint, it doesn't show up with gparted or disk utility. On XP, it says the device malfunctioned. Just double-checking before I trash it. Thank goodness I had a back up of the back up;)

Will do ASAP. I'm at work, the drive is at home. Thanks for the info.
