USB Mice Aren't Recognized After Unplug And Plug In

i've noticed in lucid that if sometimes i unplug my usb mouse(it is battery powered and the unplug is required to turn it off) that it isn't recognized when i reconnect. i try different ports, restart x, and finally restart my computer. restarting is the only thing that seems to work.


This also happens with my other wired mouse.



anyone have a solution or a link to the bug report for this? i hate filing bug reports because 99% of them are marked as duplicates.
