HDAPS?

Postby capchuckprice on Wed Sep 12, 2007 1:01 am

Does Cassandra have support for HDAPS? I've got a Sony Vaio SZ, and I'm hoping it has the same accelerometers as the Lenovo. I'd love to be able to at least have drive protection enabled. In my wildest dreams, I'd love to be able to access the accelerometers directly in my own programs.

I did install that package. I'm guessing it depends on a kernel module I don't have. When I try to run hdaps-gl or any of the other user space programs it terminates immediately with the message "open: no such file or directory".

I'm guessing its trying to open the device representing the accelerometer information, which I guess does not exist on my laptop (though the Sony Vaio does indeed have accelerometers for hard disk protection).

Thanks anyway.
