No sound - Celena on an Asus M2V - Realtek ALC660

Hi all, Asus M2V with on board Realtek audio. Chip (codec) is an ALC-660. The machine is dual booted with Vista and sound on Vista is fine.

I do have a volume control showing and I do not get the "no audio decice" error when I try to play sound. (totem mainly) I do not get any test sounds playing in the sound setup area.


Any help appreciated.

Try updating, and then use vlc to play movies.
