Hi there,
I'm using Skype Beta 2.1 on my Acer Aspire One and the integrate camera works just fine, but the integrated microphone doesn't! I can plug a mic into the mic port and that works fine, but its a bit of a hassle having to cart a mic around with me. I'm hoping that its just a lack of driver support or something simple, but I have no idea, can anyone help please??
Thanks,
Integrated mic not working in Skype on Acer aspire one

Hi!
Optimal help implies that we know some details: Mint 8, 9 ? Gnome, KDE,...?
Kernel:
You can try
and afterwards
to see your sound-configuration.

Re: Integrated mic not working in Skype on Acer aspire one
Did you try this?
To solve microphone trouble, a very simple solution is:
1. Open PulseAudio volume control
2. Click Input tab
3.Click the middle one of the three buttons in the right hand corner 4. Put one channel down to about 10% and the other to about 90% (most microphones only have one input channel, so with both channels up it's booting itself out).
5. Restart your computer and start a Skype test call!
Good luck!
