MUSTEK 600CP SCANNER WORKING WITH MINT CELENA

Hello Mint friends,
After trying for a long time to get my Mustek 600 CP scanner to work with Linux, I finally managed to get some very easy and efficient advice from the following blog:

EDIT:
'Scanner not detected' warning. This can be overcome by starting Gimp in the Terminal (sudo gimp)
