wireless "N" type recievers

Post by pottzie »

I'm about to post in the "Wireless" section about installing an "N" type wireless pci card. The reason I'm posting here first is that this will be the 6th "N" type receiver I've tried to install! This isn't a Mint problem, as I've tried them on Ubuntu, Fedora, and have fiddled with Slackware. the kerenels and the receivers don't talk to each other-period!
Is N so new that no manufacturers provide support yet? Seems to me that N has been around long enough that the kernel should recognize it.
