[SOLVED]About the temperature of my notebook's hard disk?

Post by snowtown86 »

Well , I have Windows 7 & Mint 10 both in my notebook. And I use them equally in my daily work.

But I got a question about the temperature of the hard disk ?

Usually,it comes to be 35℃ or much lower when I use Windows 7.
However , this temperature will goes up to around 40 ℃ when I use Mint 10.

The same thing I would do like browsing web pages , watching movies or listening music. But how the temperature comes to be so high? Do we have any ideas to solve this problem?

Well I dont really know what would make the Temp of the Hard drive hotter with the OS. But you might want to look at the file system you are using? amount of Space Linux has to operate? 40c is not that much warmer than 35 its still within normal operating temp.
