Well, I was installing Linux mint 10 64-bit on my dads computer and his wired Ethernet controller is the Intel 82566DC (rev02) when I would bring up the live disc the auto Eth0 would work about 1-10 times. Once I installed the auto eth0 has never worked since. When I boot up to Linux Mint 9 32-bit live everything works fine.
If anyone has any ideas about how to fix this i would greatly appreciate it. I'm downloading the 32bit mint 10 to see if that changes anything.
I will attach some info from when I booted up to 9.

**EDIT: I booted to the 32-bit live of Mint 10 and everything was working fine. It seems to be something specifically relating to the 64-bit version. We were also messing with wicd and got it to connect to our network by using some of the info from when I booted to 9, but still no Internet.**
