BIOS OSD on laptop garbled
Hello, My Gateway CX2610 has an issue any time any edition of Linux is installed on it, the OSD of the BIOS (Brightness up, volume up, etc.) is garbled, speckled, or just disappears altogether. Again, this happens on openSUSE, Fedora, Ubuntu, Linux Mint (10 and 11 GNOME, KDE and XFCE). Is this a known issue? Are there any fixes? ANY help is appreciated.

Re: BIOS OSD on laptop garbled
i have an AOC LCD and there's no issue with it under any circumstance.
Have you the manual for the display?
There should be a 'reset' button sequence (mine is hold the outer-left ring while pressing the "on" button of the monitor)
>(o)
Hold ">" and pressing "o" if that diagram makes any sense.
Yours should be similar.
