Ive been running the good ole Gnome variant of Mint (my favorite Linux distro!) I though I would like to try KDE for a change....well it aint working so hot. Unlike the Gnome variant which runs forever as stable as my best hunting dog the KDE distro gos through weird spasms where it shuts down randomly, shuts down my fans....thats scarry! and freezes...not all at once those happen randomly.
I went through my bios to see if I had something set oddly but its the same set up as my Gnome uses, I can only think that KDE is doing something odd.
Any ideas?

What Mint version are you talking about, Mint 9 or 10?
