Touchpad does temporarily not react on clicks

Postby JayBeOh on Wed Nov 21, 2007 6:05 pm

Hi everybody,

I've been having the following problem since the installation of Daryna. My mouse (touchpad) suddenly stops reacting on clicks on the gnome panel/mintmenu-button. Usually I'm still able to click functions in the application I am in but I can only switch windows with Alt+Tab.
As I already told clem about this problem in the IRC, he told me to type in dmesg into the terminal.
Since the problem just came up again, this is the output of dmesg (I took the oldest part out):

This is a known bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... +bug/96596
If you have an Intel chip there is a possible solution towards the end of the page.
Note that you somewhat surprisingly are not supposed to uncomment the line in question

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
