Atheros Bluetooth Driver for Mint 10

Post by EGi »

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with the Bluetooth driver on Mint 10. The bluetooth button is on and wireless working but I can't enable bluetooth via gnome bluetooth tool. When I press "Bluetooth on", nothing happens and actually I can't even see the bluetooth driver on the system. I couldn't find any solution for this on the web so decided to get some suggestions from here..

By the way bluetooth is on and working on Windows 7 and it's got atheros driver on it.

:(

Thanks in advanced..

Give blueman a look, it's on Software Manager and it's easier to setup and use.

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunatelly blueman says that there is no adapters found.
I think Mint doesn't even know that there is a bluetooth adapter on it. I have to find the driver and then go for it but where?

I don't see the Bluetooth device... is it a USB device? Try "lsusb" on the terminal.

What is your computer make and model? If it's a desktop computer what is the MB make and model?
