USB mp5 player isn't recognized in Mint 11

Post by Savta_Simcha »

I have a Rockchip RK27XX based MP5 player that mounted fine in Mint 10. After a fresh install of Mint 11, it no longer mounts. Not only that, it isn't even recognized in gparted.
Other USB devices seem to mount fine, including other personal media players and pendrives.
Below are the relevant lines of dmesg from both Mint 10 and Mint 11.
Anybody have any ideas how to get it to work?
Thanks

Re: USB mp5 player isn't recognized in Mint 11

Post by Savta_Simcha »

After I saw that 45 people looked at my post and no one wrote even one idea as to what to do, I came to the conclusion that I have no choice but to re-install Mint 10 and wait patiently to see if Mint 12 will work with my player. So, despite the fact that there as some really nice features in Mint 11, I'm back with Mint 10 and sure enough my personal media player hooks up just fine.
