OK, running Mint 11 (Gnome) on a six year old Dell Dimension 5000 series desktop PC. Need to purchase a new printer (maybe AIO printer/scanner) and need one that will work out-of-the-box without any hassles. Any suggestions?
(UK market BTW)

The usual reliable choices are HP, Brother, Samsung, some canon etc..
HP is possibly the most prevalent, and as long as it is reasonably priced competitive with others
I use a Samsung ML 2550
--they provide Linux drivers, however, the CUPS database is often sufficient..
