82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller

I have a problem with the soundcard 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller. I use a Zepto Znote 3215W Notebook with Mint 4.0 and Alsa as Sounddaemon.
Ive read that this card is supported by alsa, so i installed alsa but i can hear nothing. Mute is off and sound is up...

normaly I use Debian, so I tried alsaconf but there is no alsaconf in Mint? Ive installed all alsa packages.
So whats wrong?

I used therefore the last alsa driver ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/a ... c3.tar.bz2

cd /tmp
wget ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/a ... c3.tar.bz2
tar -jxvf alsa-driver-1.0.15rc3.tar.bz2
cd alsa-driver-1.0.15rc3/
./configure --with-cards=hda-intel && make
sudo make install
sudo cp ./modules/snd-hda-intel.ko /lib/modules/$( uname -r )/ubuntu/media/snd-hda-intel/
sudo depmod -a
sudo reboot

mhh didnt work...
I have searched for bugs with the 3215W but I only found the 64xx one, but he has the same audiocard

Try using alsamixer in terminal.

mh i searched for the correct driver but i cant find the HDA-Intel ICH8 driver, it seems that alsa only support ICH7,6,... but not ICH8
