Err Msg: Cannot Allocate Resource Region 7 of Bridge

Postby phillfri on Wed Jan 23, 2008 4:43 am

Whenever I boot into Mint o my Acer Aspire 3680 laptop I get the following 3 error messages:

Cannot Allocate Resource Region 7 of bridge
Cannot Allocate Resource Region 8 of bridge
Cannot Allocate Resource Region 9 of bridge

Anyone know what this is?

It doesn't happen on my Dell E520 desktop.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

There is a lengthy topic somewhere in forum and the poor guy in that could not boot his laptop
This is about allocating resources (you guessed that, didn't you :)) and may or may not be serious
If you have ATI video it may be the result of the (very) wrong driver
It's really hard to find out what it is so if everything works OK just "forget about it".

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
