hey everybody,
So I've got a nice Logitech USB headset that I've been (sort of) using with my mint install on my laptop. When I plug it in it's detected and setup in alsa perfectly, but when i set it as the default output in gnome-sound-properties GUI it has no effect. The "test" button works and the sound plays, but all my applications (amarok, mplayer, totem) still are trying to use my integrated audio. The only thing that works is VLC because it allows you to choose the actual output, not just a driver (like amarok, where you can only choose the driver like alsa, oss, etc). Is there any command-line or file hack I can do to force the headset to be alsa's default out?
Thanks!
