Memory Choice/more quanity or more speed?

Postby myforms on Sun Feb 24, 2008 10:55 pm

I have a computer that has 256meg of DDR PC3200 memory, the computer will support DDR PC2700 or DDR PC3200. I have in my junk pile 768meg of PC2700 memory (1 256meg and 1 512meg.) My question, is 768meg of DDR PC2700 better than 256meg DDR PC3200? I would have to think it would be but there are many more fine minds than mine here and I would appreciate any input.

myforms,

768 MB is better any day than any speed of 256 MB.

Hope that helps.

Democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb voting on the menu. Liberty is an armed lamb protesting the electoral outcome. A Republic negates the need for an armed protest.
