Webcam hard and software connection

Hi.

I have installed MINT 4.0 (GNOM) . The only thing that not working is my LOGITECH WEBCAM, connected via USB2

QUESTION.

Where can i find the software en hardware setup for that kind off hardware. After the default setup via MINT LIVE i have found the program PIDGIN.
The firth thing i will do is testing the hardware connection with MINT. but i don't no how to test my camera.

please give me a tip where to start.

With the webcam connected issue

Hi "Husse"
The name of my webcam= logitech QUICKCAM "FUSION" There are 2 hardware parts in it, 1 the camera itself and a microphone. I have no numbers. The camera is connected via usb2. The 2 speakers are connected via my backpanel to my on-bord AC soundcard.

hi,

i have no idea how, but the following code works perfectly! including the built in microphone!
just open a terminal and use the code one line at a time (and occasionally enter your password or choose Yes when asked...)

mkdir uvcdriver
