Since last updates hangup with SCSI hdd

Postby svgt on Fri Feb 29, 2008 10:46 am

Hi,

I have just updated the Mint 4.0 Gnome system. Three weeks I made no updates. After the last update the system hangs up when starting. I get the last messages:

When I disconnect the SCSI drive, the system starts up without any problems.

Does anybody have a solution?

Hard drive failure?
Size and brand of the disk?

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Hi,
there is no hardware problem with this SCSI disk. Under Windows and under Damn Small Linux and under PCLinuxOS all is running well. All data can be read and is clean. It is only a problem with Ubuntu and Mint. In the German Ubuntu forum ubuntuusers.de is an identical problem described without any solution.
