LM14 fresh install. Can't mount any external drives

Postby Nyarlathotep on Sun Oct 27, 2013 4:19 pm

MY HDD drive crashed so since I had to replace I decided to do update both Windows from Vista to Wins 7 and LM13 to 15.

LM 15 didn't load the Mate desktop (Integrated Intel Graphics problem), so I gave up and installed LM14.

However LM14 won't mount any of my external drives ( 2 different 250gb hdds, 300gb hdd, 16gb camera SC card, ). All formatted FAT.

Error is always of the form:

Code: Select all
Error mounting /dev/sdb1 at /media/~/250MB_HDD1: Command-line `mount -t "vfat" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000,shortname=mixed,dmask=0077,utf8=1,showexec,flush" "/dev/sdb1" "/media/donal/250MB_HDD1"' exited with non-zero exit status 32: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,

dsmeg tail shows
