I have an HP printer scanner copier that connects to the computer via a usb port. Model # 2175. It seems to print without issue in LM12 but document scanning takes as much as 10X longer than the same document in W/XP. I am nearly windoz free but for business purposes I do need to scan.
Rig is an Intel mobo w/ 4 gig RAM /3.4 Pent 4 processor/ 1.6 Terrabyte HD's running Mint 12 duel boot w/ W/XP

Please use normal English instead of "W/" abbreviations.
Scanning should work fine as HP supports all-in-one scanning on Linux (as opposed to stand-alone scanners, which might work well but are not supported).

It is an all in one printer scanner copier and other HP printers have worked well in the past .
