How do I instal the ML-2165w on Mint 11?

I run the Mint 11 64-bit on my notebook and desktop. Unfortunately, this Mint version and the latest (as I searched) do not have the repositories for the Samsung ML-2165w monochromatic laser printer, which I would like to install. Nevertheless, the Mint 11 manages to install this printer somehow through the "recommended" drivers it has for the ML-2160 series. The thing is, the printer doesn't actually print anything with those drivers. Then I found out that in that case I have to install the Universal Driver Installer in order to get the proper drivers working. But how could I install this installer, as it comes as a tar.gz file?
