Brother MFC-210C Network Scanner on Mint 14 C 64

I can't get scanning working on Mint 14 Cinnamon 64 bit. I've done all the procedures that worked on Mint 11 32 bit and Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit.

Has anyone gotten this combination to work? I got printing to this device working.

I've tried the howto at:

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=47394

I've linked lib64 and lib32 libraries, put my user in the scanning group, everything in every howto from Arch to Ubuntu. No errors are showing up in /var/log/messages.
brsaneconfig2 -q

lists the scanner at the correct IP address.

Does anyone else have this combination and gotten it working?
