Re: How to install Canon MF4320d - to print and scan
Perhaps we first get rid of any package you may already have installed:
go to Menu; (bottom left of desktop) and then go about six up to Package Manager; open that; you will likely need to enter your sudo password
type cndrvcups into the search option and see what emerges: click on any that are there; and select for removal; remove them;
To install again:
If you go the icon at the top-left of your desktop, it should say something like Bodhan's home
open that; then open the directory called Downloads; it should have your UFR package there; I think it is called o1113enx_l_ufr220.zip
................if you right-click on it; and select the Open with Archive Manager; so open it ..
click on UK; now click on 32bit driver; having opened that, click on Debian;
now you need to install the COMMON package first: cndrvcups-common_2.50-1_i386.deb
install by RIGHT-CLICK on the file and select "install with gdebi installer"
now install the specific package: cndrvcups-common_2.50-1_i386.deb
let's see if we can get the printer working and then look at the scanner
