Recommended HP printer

I want an economical printer for my home office and decided on HP as they play well with linux. User reviews of their latest models are pretty bad. There are lots of paper feed problems with the newest models. The Photosmart 5520 for example. The older models have all of the colors in one cartridge so they are expensive to use. Has anyone had good luck with a model that uses the 564 ink cartridges?
Thanks

I have seen various posts where folks reply and say the magic letters
CISS
.......continuous ink supply system ...............
and they are very popular in a number of countries and manufacturers such as Epson do make them .....

.....although; surprisingly; they do not make this well known:

Why HP? Overrated...
Google "Canon Pixma MP610" plays nice with Linux...
Official Linux support:

I couldn't see the linux driver on that US site you posted:
however the European site does have one:
http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer ... e=download
and it comes down as a compressed debian package for Ubuntu/Mint ..................
MP610_debian.tgz
