Quick background, when I was using Ubuntu I got my Browther DCP-375 CW printer working by searching web finding advice on forums and copying pasting the recommendations in terminal and it worked.
In Mint I have failed to achieve this.
I have the cupswrapper file in my downloads directory.
1/Do I need to put it into root? If so how do I achieve that?
2/what isntructions in terminal do I need to write?
ps I have it recognised and it thinks it is a text printer which it is not and anyway it doesn't print
pps it prints fine in windows and used to when I had ubuntu.
ppps windows and ubuntu hard disk broken, hence the need to make mint functional.
no other issues with mint.
always have had problems with printers in debian to be fair.

you will see good and detailed instructions on how to download an install script that Brother supply ..........so that script does all the work ........
.........can I suggest you delete whatever you have and follow the instructions for the script?
