So I have a new printer as above and I am using maya xfce, the printer says idle rendering completed but no printing takes place I have downloaded the cups and hplip(?).

It worked when I tried a live iso of fedora 17 so it must be something to do with maya that i am not seeing, I was wondering if anyone had some knowledge of this issue already or how they worked it out?

o.k it's not really solved as such, after looking through some more posts here & elsewhere I can only assume it is to d with update pack 6 that I can't configure my hardware so I've gone to maya instead and................... Alls well that ends well
