KONICA MINOLTA MAGICOLOR 5650EN DOESN'T WORK

Postby gogore on Mon Apr 15, 2013 10:44 am

Hello everybody,

I've a printer, it's a konica minolta magicolor 5650EN. I've a linux driver that is a ppd file on a official cd of konica minolta. I used it to set up my printer, but it doesn't work. After, I downloaded a linux driver from the official website of konica minolta, but it has not worked yet. I need some help, please.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

so a good source for information on printing in linux is OpenPrinting

http://www.openprinting.org/printer/KON ... or_5430_DL

searching on a similar printer for yours, they recommend the raster........ thingey

http://www.openprinting.org/driver/rastertokmXXXXdl

they say the ppd is supplied by Konica; presumably the ppd names the 5650EN:

if you tell us what you have done; it would perhaps help a wee bit

from Google, I suspect the foo2z driver may also work;
