i recently bought this printer
i was impressed they offered linux drivers
im running mint 14 32-bit mate edn which unfortunately doesnt have driver support
brother give a complicated installation example (for a novice like me) that involves using rpm or deb to somehow run a lpr driver link below

can I suggest you download the install script that Brother provide
that should do the work for you

im afraid it is a bit over my head whatever it did
when they talk about cups wrappers i assumed it is for personalising your crockery!
