Using Linux Mint 12 LXDE and a Brother MFC-7460. Prints fine. Using the Brother driver. Xsane fails as user but in terminal I can sudo xsane and eveything works. The resulting file is owned by root but I can change that easily. I want the user (not me) to be able to run xsane from the menu. So I think I have a permission error but don't know ehere to go from here.
Ideas?
Dave

Dave, I have exact same problem. Xsane scans from root but not from user.
Yes. I think it is a permission problem, but have not been able to fix.
