OK what is wrong here? Printer not working. Not sure I understand the URI thing, had to google it.

From this screenshot I can't tell what's wrong.
Perhaps if you start the terminal and do

Code: Select all

lsusb
then you should see the exact name of the printer.
And that is the most important thing to know I think.
That is what has to be in the link after usb://

Bonjour Claude; welcome to the forums

we have one of these printers pres d'ici and when I plug it in, and type
lsusb
I get
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04e8:326c Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd ML-2010P Mono Laser Printer
.....I can't see that on your lsusb printout so the computer is not seeing the printer; is it all plugged in and turned on........a usb3 port?.........a usb hub? .....try another usb port you know that works......

when you get it seen on lsusb, it is more likely to work...........I find it is auto-configured when one plugs it into Mint ..............
