Linux Mint 17 64bit found my printer and installed it. i can print but it will take more than a minute.
Sometimes up to 2 minutes to print. But when I try this on another computer with Windows Vista,
it will be printed in just a second.
How can I set up my printer the best way?

Uninstalled the printer and downloaded the specific file and followed the process. It took about half an hour to download 230 Mb and install all of it. Now start the printer direct.

so Nicki: you are saying you went to the Brother site; downloaded and ran the Brother install script; that would have then installed the Brother drivers for your HL-3070W?
