brother hl 2130 wont work in mint 16 32bit

g'day everyone, my brother hl 2130 wont print in mint 16 32bit edition,
I'v tried so many ways to get it to print all come back with nothing
can anyone help me with this problem?

If you are able to open a terminal, can you paste this command into it; press the enter key and then copy what you get: use the menu at the top of the terminal ..............

if you click on this link, http://localhost:631/printers/ then the left hand column should be in blue, and should say Queue Name and can you tell us how many mentions there are there for the Brother printer please?

If I was advising someone how to install the Brother printer drivers for this printer, I would suggest they go here http://support.brother.com/g/b/download ... all&os=128

and click to download what Brother call the Driver Install Tool and select to SAVE it as it is downloaded; it comes down as linux-brprinter-installer-2.0.0-1.gz

one would then open a terminal and paste the commands below; an d hit the ENTER key after each paste

cd Downloads

gunzip linux-brprinter-installer-2.0.0-1.gz

sudo bash linux-brprinter-installer-2.0.0-1 HL-2130

.........with a working internet connection that should download the needed drivers and allow one to print
