Brother DCP-115C

I have just installed the drivers for my Brother, DCP-115C multifunction printer. I did the following:
I downloaded via Synaptic, all of the relevant Brother files for the MFC 210 . Then I switched on the printer,
a dialog box came up "looking for drivers, " soon ,it asked me ,if I wanted a test page printed; I said "yes " ,and Voila ,success.
I shall try scanning.Shall keep uou informed.

When I used Mint 9 ,I was able to scan with "Simple Scan " ,but now I have just replaced M9 with M13 (Gnome-Mate )
Printing is sort of all right ,just a bit slow ,but snanning ,with even Simple Scan won't work .
