Hp deskjet 1000c help in linux mint 10 kde

Hello im having problems to make to install the printer hp deskjet 1000
i search in alllll the gooogleland to find a solutions .
but i dont find one and the i can find dosn work
plis if you can answer me in spanish i be will very happy
plis i need a solution

Following links on HPs sites after doing a Google search with you printer's model number indicates that you need the hplip package. You can install it from Package Manager/Synaptic. http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html

Another option is available according to the OpenPrinting site. The driver package they recommend is also available in Synaptic.

look mi linux partner
i have the hp toolbox and dont apear the printer
in te cup page i culd find the printer and y can install , but
the printer dosnt work e.g i click the print the test page and the icon printer apear and the printer status ( in screen) is
in proces and then desapear and finally dont print
and i try to print a ".doc" file and the = e.g
plis u have the other way ?

HERE is a thread with suggestions to get a HP deskjet 1050 to work, see if any of them are of use. The original post in that thread states:

The printer is recognized in the printer configuration and does say "printing job #" but will not even print the test page, scan or anything.

I found it by searching the Mint forum for 1000c
