WiFi card using Mint 11

Postby newyorkpaulie on Thu Apr 26, 2012 7:54 am

I upgraded from Mint 8 to Mint 11 and now the only WiFi card I can use to connect is an Actiontec P/N 123637 201. I have 2 other T30s (ThinkPad) and have tried to buy the same cards for them, and even though the P/N numbers are almost the same (I was sent 2 with P/N 123637 112) they don't connect. I just get a circling icon, but no connection. When I use a USB WiFi hookup (DLink) all is fine, but that's not the fix I want. Anyone how to get the 112s to work - or can give me some idea of what's going on here? Or if anyone uses a ThinkPad (T-30) and has found a card that works with Mint 11 please let me know what the product number is. Thanks!
