RT73USB driver, TL-321G not connecting to network on startup

Postby venom104 on Tue May 15, 2012 3:20 pm

Okay here is my problem. I have a TL-WN321G and it works great, with one problem. Sometimes when I boot up, it doesn't "see" the essid of my wireless network. The weird thing is that it DOES see OTHER networks in the area. I have to use the network manager applet and connect to a "hidden network" with the same essid and encryption key, but then it works!

I'm not so sure this is a problem with the driver, as it works fine in windows (and on other distros of linux I've had installed that used the same driver {ubuntu, debian}, but I can't rule out the possibility that it's a router issue. The thing is, windows ALWAYS connects fine.

I'm connecting to a WEP secured network (yes, I know WEP is insecure, but some older devices I have don't support WPA/2).

What should I do?
