Wireless Driver not working

it says something about the wireless driver not installed. my friend suggested that i connect to ethernet and that will install the driver, and i did just that, but it still not installed! WHAT DO I DO????? :( oh and, i cant find my wireless network drive under additional drivers or anywhere!!!!

Ok your friend is right you'll need the hard wire connection to install the driver.

please open a terminal and type the following and post the output here.

lspci

l is a lowercase L not #1

or tell us what wireless card your using. can't be of much help without that information.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I am using a linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter with speed booster. Please, any thing to get Internet working will help (except Ethernet) I really want to start using linux again, thanks :)

your wiresless card is a Broadcom 4318. The 4318 card can be touchy in Linux. but if you follow the page that gn2 suggested you should be able to get it working.
