Wireless not connecting, but sees the network

Hi, I have a Intel Centrino 6230 Network card in my laptop and im running linux mint 13. My issue is that whenever I boot/resume from a suspend my wireless won't connect UNLESS I do a modprobe -r iwlwifi and modprobe iwlwifi. After I run those commands it will start working again but if I don't it just stays stuck at "Obtaining IP".
