Problem connecting Ausus wireless adapter

I am on Mint 10. I downloaded the RT3070 tar.bz2 to the desktop and extracted. It made the RT 3070 folder. I'm not sure what to do next to install the driver for the adapter. I need some help.

You should consider trying Mint 13 or 14
Wireless support is better in releases with kernel 3>
Mint 10 support has ended
