Finally got wifi

Although i had access to the Internet via a wired network i also wanted to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So after a lot of fustration i decided to do the following. I booted into Linux Mint and i clicked on the Network icon and then clicked on Create New Wireless Network.

A window opened and these are the answers i give:

Connection: New
Network name: SSID
Wireless security: WPA & WPA2
Password: I typed in the long password that i had previously created in my modem/router

Finally click on Create.

The only problem i came across was that wifi was not enabled straight away because when i clicked on Firefox i got: Server not found. So i clicked on Restart and after the second time of restarting the machine i was online via wifi ....Yippeee!!
