High Gain Antenna for 3.5.X (Nadia)?

Anyone know of any high gain usb network adapters for the 3.5.X kernel? Alfa says they only support 2.6.X. I'd like something that works out of the box or with very minor modifications.

Using the Alfa AWUS036H USB wireless adapter? And works out of the box.
http://www.amazon.com/Alfa-AWUS036H-802 ... 43&sr=1-10

Tho plagued with disconnects 1-6 times every 12 hrs. And Not reconnecting bugs of nm-applet.
As have iffy Wifi at times.

Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187 Wireless Adapter
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bg ESSID:"stir the pot"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.417 GHz Access Point: 06:13:92:26:0B:32
Bit Rate=54 Mb/s Tx-Power=27 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=-27 dBm

So changed to xfce for lighter desktop and it uses wicd tho still get an occasional disconnection.
Wicd successfully reconnects.Tho have no Tx power management to up Tx to 1000mw.
And stuck with the default 75% level I believe?

But that adapter has worked out of the box on Ubuntu 12.10,Mint 14 Cinnamon,Fuduntu,Voyager 12.10.
Or you can Download the "Linux driver for Kernel 3.0.0/3.1.0/3.2.0" from the Realtek website
http://askubuntu.com/questions/178009/h ... ss-adapter
Did that but not sure it improved the out of the box performance.

Apparently they are also very directional, so a scan of the quality of the signal might also be of some interest

Hmmm right on about how critical antenna positioning is. And have to fine tune position on a regular basis depending on weather and time of day. As Isp's AP is like a block away and pushing the limit in usability for me.

"Even when you know the general direction of the access point, small azimuth angle, elevation and polarization corrections can produce big differences in signal amplitude."

I'm looking for something that isn't going to require daily maintenance.
